What would I do?

Render, render, render... Zzz.

Yeah. That's been my last few days. Just waiting for all my videos to render. Just to have something not work well.

My goal is to have the final comedy short finally uploaded today.

Third time to color correct is a charm.

Incorporating Zoe Beloff

Incorporating Zoe Beloff.

She was a always trying to let the femenin side of her pieces show the most possible thats why in the majority of her works the main character is a women, always interacting with men of course but the femenin side was always the center of attention, so we decided that the most clear way of interpreting her style in our comedy video will be having women as the principal characters in the whole story.

Rough cut done. The whole thing.

It's 3:00am, a time which I said I would not stay up till, but I just had to finish. I had to see what the whole project looks like scene to scene.

I must say, it's good and fun.

I will be working on the music tomorrow and finishing up my other project. As soon as I can I will post a new rough with clean sound.

edit:  as promised.here is the video...  I am working on the music now.  Some of the audio needs work still too.

Incorporating Nam June Paik

I have discussed with my colleagues that we can incorporate Nam June Paik by adding a small two second edit showing multiview of a single scene in the intro. The image would appear to be television sets. How we will be doing this and other signature Paik affects remains to be scene.

Incorporating Jean-Luc Godard

To incorporate the video artist Jean-Luc Godard into a sketch comedy piece, we are going to have one of the actors look into the lens to break the fourth wall. JLG was very much about making the audience aware of the camera and crew's presence. In his pieces, he always wanted to remind the audience that they were in fact watching a film.

Therefore having an actor look directly into the camera will bring the audience into the piece and remind them that they are watching a movie and that suspending their disbelief is not our intention, just like JLG. This is the most logical cinematic element of his that we can seamlessly incorporate into the piece.

Production Schedule

April 14th- April 19th: Read Script. Actors (Kristine & Karen) need to memorize lines. Crew (Matt & Justin & Jacob) need to make shot lists  and a storyboard.

April 20th: Film Scene 1- "Nerdy Girls & Creepy Guys" at Matt's house. (Due to a ridiculous amount of schedule conflicts, we need to film this during class time). Link the audio to video.

April 21st- April 22nd: Log and transfer footage. Matt and Justin begin editing.

April 28th- May 3rd:  Group editing. Color correction. Audio clean up.

May 4th: Present rough edit.

May 5th- May 10th: Fix video in lieu of class critique.

May 11th: Present final video.

About the Project

This will be a short video some what like a sketch comedy.  Two nerdy girls look for a roommate and new friend.  A mistake in the ad for the open room, brings men looking for some love and hopefully it's funny.
